In 2016 me and my fiancee visited the Manchester Dogs Home. We had been half considering getting a dog since moving in together. As we walked along the hopeful canine faces we noticed a theme. Almost all the dogs were Staffordshire Bull Terriers or similar breeds. I have always loved the breed ever since my best friend had an all black staff called Guiness when we were kids. I know them to be a gentle loving breed of dog that is very wrongly pigeon holed as aggressive. Anyone who owns a staffy will definitely have had someone move well aside as they walk their staffy past. As anyone who knows the breed can testify, it is only bad owners using staffordshires overwhelming desire to please that causes the sweet natured creatures to act aggressively. Any dog treated poorly can become nasty. Dont bully my breed. Back at the dog shelter we reached the last cage and that is where we found Sasha, a 7 year old fawn staffy who had been brought in as a stray. When she was brought out to meet us she just lit our world up with her huge smile, whippy tail and warm belly. That was us sold. We collected her the next day and she has been living the good life ever since. So as a small way to thank any fellow staffy rescuers out there, I will always offer to photograph your best boy or girl with a 15% discount on your total spend.
