I'm a Dog Photographer.
Based in Northwest England, a dog photography professional and life long dog owner (Sasha the Staffy). I make it my goal to capture your dogs individual charm and character during your bespoke dog photoshoot. To do this I work with you to learn as much as possible about your dog and the relationship you have with one another.
Keeping the process simple, we choose a location to enjoy a professional, relaxed photoshoot that is fun for you, me and most importantly...your dog.
After the dog photo shoot I provide you with an online photo gallery. From this you choose your favourite images and I edit them to perfection. The photographs of your dog are now ready to print, frame and treasure for a lifetime.
My styles include - Nature, Urban and Inner City settings as well as Studio Portrait photography. I also offer a range of professional quality print products.
"Dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen." – Orhan Pamuk
“My dog is half pit-bull, half poodle. Not much of a watchdog, but a vicious gossip.”
Before the shoot?
We agree a date, time and location that works for you. Next is a short conversation where I ask you a few simple questions about your dog and the type of image that you feel would best capture their individual character. After this a 25% deposit is required to secure the date.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I'm Manchester based in the UK, and happy to work on locations in and around the Northwest.
What happens on the shoot?
We meet at the agreed time and place. I let your dog have a good sniff around me and the camera. Its important to abuild up trust. We walk to a picturesque spot and take our photos. If your dog is good off lead we will work this way. If they are a bit of a rascal then we can photgraph them on the lead and I can remove it during the edit.
When will we recieve our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum of 48 hours. You can view all the photos on this gallery, and choose your favourites for editing.
What if the weather is terrible?
Obviously the weather is hard to rely on. So if the forcast is looking particularly bad the shoot can be rescheduled up to 24hours in advance of the agreed date without any loss of deposit. Where possible it can be well worth working through some mildly bad wheather as it can lend an intresting visual dynamic to the shots. I wear full waterproofs for just this reason.
Can you photograph additional dogs and people?
Yes. I love capturing special moments between dogs and their humans - you, the kids, the grandparents etc all very welcome to jump in frame. Multiple dogs are also not a problem but I would mention that too many dogs (or people) can become distracting especially if they are not familiar with one another.
Will you photograph my cat, tortoise, llama?
Whilst my main focus is photographing dogs I am always looking to expand my portfolio. So if you have a pet and you want a bespoke photograph, please dont hesitate to get in touch.
Insurance and Covid?
I have full public liability insurance. All national guidelines will be followed to make our shoot together 'Covid Safe'. Given we are most likely in an outdoor location we can easily ensure social distancing is adheared to.
